Problem is as follows. Before I replaced the starter what was happening was I would turn the key to start nothing would happen for a second or so then the starter would engage. Recently replaced the starter.

Hi I have a 2001 Toyota tundra and the 4x4 will not engage.

2001 toyota tundra will not start. I filled the tank drove home. People have suggested it is the neutral safety switch. When I press the 4x4 button I can hear it start to work but then it stops.

If the starter relay is clicking then its not the ignition cylinder so you can cross that off. RESOLVED I actually figured it out last night right after I posted the thread.
